A couple of months ago, I shared that we would be selling our foreclosure home and moving out to our farm, where we plan to build our dream home! I also shared that while we built {which would be a little while}, we would be moving into a single wide mobile home that we planned to fix up on a teeny tiny budget. Well, since posting that- I haven’t really shared any updates with you all. Life has been BUSY, my friends!
You see, we did sell our house and closed on it earlier this week, and we have been hard at work out on the mobile home, getting it ready to move into VERY soon {a week-2 weeks tops!}. I can’t wait to share all we have done out there! It has truly came to life! While that was going on, I have been at home packing….and packing…and packing! UGH. The dreaded packing. Packing with 2 toddlers is not easy work, let me tell you. Every single item you go to get rid of becomes their new favorite toy. You try to pack their things during a nap {that you pray they take} or while they are asleep at night. It is exhausting! haha. You also realize how much you have that you do NOT need. I have a garage full of things that I will be selling at our church yard sale in a couple of weeks, and it is crazy.
All in all, life is crazy right now. My husband and I are not spending much time together, because he is so busy getting things ready at the farm, and I am staying at our current home getting it all boxed up! The kids run wild in the meantime, living life as if nothing is changing! We are excited about the future and what it holds for our family. We are excited to move out onto our farm, where we hope to live for the rest of our days. We are excited to move into the mobile home, yet a tad nervous because of the space constrictions being so much more than we are used to. We feel sad because we will miss our home and our neighborhood. There really are many changes taking place, and they all bring forth different emotions. But, even in the chaos, I can truly say that It is Well. Life is well. Life is good. I am very blessed, and I hope I never take a single day of this life for granted.
Can you say “It is Well”? Is it well with you? Is your life blessed and you feel so thankful for what the Lord has given you? If you do, you will love this FREE printable that I have for you today! I made it to hang in my new home, and I thought you all may enjoy it too! I made it in a simple black and white so that it would stand apart and go with any decorating style. It is ready to print in 8×10 or smaller. Enjoy!

Bless you Brooke! You are in the midst of a “Herculanean task”! I know you have a million. jillion things to do and your mind can start reeling with all you have in front of you to accomplish.. When you feel you are becoming “used up”, take a break, a long, deep breath, pat yourself on the back and reassure yourself that everything will be finished when it needs to be. “It IS Well”.
Isn’t the wonder of children simply incredible? They are right in the center of all of the upheaval going on all around them, yet, they never lose their joy, enthusiasm or their drive to do the most important job of every child, which of course to play.
The last time we moved, our daughter was a sophomore in high school and our son in the 8th grade. We had lived in that neighborhood many years. My husband and I and our kids had established so many wonderful relationships there. Consequently, when this house, (one we had admired for years) went up for sale and we bought it the very next day, our 10th and 8th grader….well….rebelled….a lot! I can remember packing and cleaning and working here at our “new” old house trying to get as much done as possible and every time I asked one of my kids to clean, or pack, oh, what sounds of disgust I heard! Within two weeks of moving into this house, they loved it and we were once again the coolest parents on earth.
So, in that respect Brooke, you have been blessed and blessed in countless other ways. I know your children are most likely under foot or at their rowdiest at the times you are busiest, but joyful noise and silliness is serious business for them.
I am excited for you and your family! Th prospect of living in a mobile home for awhile may seem a bit daunting, on the other hand, it could be really fun; like an extended camping trip on the way to the home and the land of your dreams.
I’ll keep thoughts of you and your family in my heart, but I already know, “It Is Well”.
Thanks for sharing the lovely, POSITIVE printable! God Bless!
