I’m Brooke Riley—Wife, mother, professional blogger, owner of Re-Fabbed Boutique, and business coach!
9 years ago I started my business at ZERO. (Don’t we all?!) Never in a million years did I dream that one day I would be able to truly travel and work from anywhere in the world. I would have told you that you were crazy. But with a LOT of hard work, I’ve managed to transform + grow to multiple 7 figures, and have built a crafting community of almost 1 million followers!
Things like INC5000, Forbes, Success, etc… were never on my radar. I mean, I saw businesses being recognized by the likes of those prestigious places, but that was beyond the realm of anything I would ever do or could even want to do…or so I thought.
When I was announced as one of Forbes Next 1000 entrepreneurs… I thought the world stopped turning. I thought, HOW in the world can this happen? I am a little country bumpkin from Mayfield, KY. Shortly after, I was able to write for SUCCESS magazine, and I thought…who am I to be able to do such a thing? And then, OUR company was recognized as one of INC5000 Fastest Growing Companies in America…and I am just in AWE of the goodness of God.
I fully understand the saying “the sky is the limit”…because I’ve SEEN IT! I’ve seen it in my business and I’ve seen it in the lives of so many people I’ve coached and spent time with in the business world.
I truly believe that one of the key ways to take your business to the next level is to never stop learning. Maybe even more than that—understand that you don’t ever know everything and you NEED to keep learning to stay on top of your game.
I can truly say I’ve learned a lot over the years. I’ve had a lot of wins, and I’ve had a lot learning experiences (aka fails)! I don’t think I would be (in fact I KNOW I wouldn’t be) where I am today without those fails. I honestly wouldn’t trade a single one. It helped me make the needed changes and made ME BETTER.
I continue learning from those who have gone before me. I’ve invested in my business and my faith. I have always said, “be in the room”…Be in the room with people who “get you”…who understand the business realm and align with your values (even a coaching GROUP setting online). I’m in lots of rooms, both online and in person. If you are stuck in your business, ask yourself, am I in the right room? It could make all the difference.
This is your year. Embrace the challenges. Focus on the good. Remember that life is so very short and you only have a finite period of time to do the things you’ve always wanted to do.
