The Dollar Tree got me again, y’all! These little $3 tic tac toe sets just jumped into my cart! I knew there were so many cute things we could do with them, and I couldn’t wait to get home and get started! Today, I’m going to show you a diy wooden sign with the wooden hearts. It is SO cute!
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
-$11×14 wooden sign from Dollar Tree Plus section
-$3 Paint Your Own Tic Tac Toe kit from Dollar Tree Plus section
-Re-Fabbed Branded Hot Glue Gun (https://www.re-fabbedboutique.com/collections/re-fabbed-branded/products/re-fabbed-branded-hot-glue-gun )
-Hot glue sticks
-Apple Barrel paint in the following colors:
Pewter Grey
Fruit Punch
Cameo Pink
Crisp Green
Admiral Blue
Green Turquoise
Cardinal Crimson
Jet Black
White
First, I painted my wooden sign white!
While that was drying, I opened up the tic tac toe kit and took 9 wooden hearts out (it comes with 10) in the pattern I wanted to have them on the sign!
I then started painting each heart one of the apple barrel colors I had picked! I did paint 2 the pewter gray!
I love all of these colors together! After both the sign and the wooden hearts were dry, I laid out my hearts in order and hot glued each heart in 3 rows of 3 onto the sign.
Of course I painted my background white, but this would also be super fun with wrapping paper modge podged on! See my tutorial HERE for that—> WALLPAPER BLOG
That’s ALL folks! This is almost too simple, but cheap and quick diy’s like this are my jam!!! I chose a few fun, non-traditional colors, because that is MY style…but you should always chose what inspires YOU the most!!
Aren’t these colors so pretty together?! I just love this!
