Pumpkins are the icon of fall decor, and I am absolutely loving all of the beautiful colors currently on the shelves! Have you seen the new fall arrivals at Dollar Tree? I am swooning over the navy, pink and orange hues. The colors definitely resemble those from higher end retailers. On a recent trip to Dollar Tree, I grabbed several bags of pumpkins and created a gorgeous wreath! It was such a simple project, but I think it turned out fabulous! You’ll want to make this one ASAP!
For this fall wreath, I used the following supplies:
- (14) 3 pack pumpkin clips in a variety of colors and textures
- (4) 5 pack pumpkins in a variety of colors
- 18″ wreath form
- Glue gun
First, I opened up all of the packages and just admired the beautiful colors! I’ll say it again, I cannot believe Dollar Tree had such a cute variety of pumpkins! I purchased a variety of colors and textures. They had faux leather, velvet, sweater and burlap fabrics.
The three pack pumpkins had small alligator clips on the bottom. These worked PERFECT for the wire form!
I started the wreath by clipping all of the pumpkins onto the wire frame.
The clips allow you to pivot the pumpkins so they are not all exactly the same. I would turn some inward and others outward.
Working my way around the wreath, I mixed colors and textures so they were evenly spaced throughout the wreath.
The colors blended together beautifully!
Once all of the larger pumpkins were clipped to the wreath, I started to fill in the gaps with smaller pumpkins.
I would locate a space that was a little thin, then apply a dab of hot glue onto the smaller pumpkin and glue it to the surrounding pumpkins.
It truly doesn’t matter which direction you place it. I actually liked laying them on the side a bit, because it broke up the uniformity.
I continued this process until I ran out of pumpkins. Since I had the larger 18″ wreath form, I probably could have used another pack of smaller pumpkins to fill in spaces, but I made do with what I had.
In the end, I was SO PLEASED with how it turned out! The colors are just phenomenal and scream FALL to me! This project was SO EASY, and does not look like it was created with Dollar Tree supplies!
Don’t you just love it?! Seriously, everyone needs to run to Dollar Tree and grab some of these pumpkins!!! The colors…the textures…they are everything, I would love to see what YOU create with them!
Make sure you PIN this for later!! You may not be ready for it YET, but you will be!
