Peel and stick tiles are an absolute game-changer when it comes to budget-friendly home decor! With just a few tiles and an old frame, you can create a stunning, custom piece that looks like it came straight out of a Pottery Barn magazine!
The best part? You can use any kind of peel and stick tiles that match YOUR style!
here’s what you’ll need…

- peel & stick wall tiles from Walmart
- re-fabbed branded scissors
- we used an 11×14 frame matted to an 8×10, but be sure to choose a frame that fits your space!
We already had this frame on hand, so this project was less than $10! Talk about on a BUDGET!
The pack of tiles came with 12, but we only used 3, so stay tuned to see what we come up with for my remaining 9!
First, I peeled off the back of the sticky tile and laid it center inside the matted frame. I simply pressed the back cardboard piece onto it to make sure it was exactly centered!
These tiles were pretty thick, but the fabulous re-fabbed scissors were able to do the job!
Simply attach the sticky tiles directly to the cardboard, no hot glue required!
We wanted it to look like I had more of the exact pattern going behind the mat, so we cut the tiles to appear that way!
Our edges aren’t perfectly straight, but thankfully they don’t have to be, because the white mat goes right on top of the edges!!!
Drum roll!!!
How ADORABLE?! You can hang/display this vertically or horizontally! I can’t decide which way I like best!
Paired with this $2 thrifted pot… SWOON!!

There are SO many ways to use these sticky tiles, y’all! I hope this gave you some inspiration to use them in a new way, other than as backsplash! Be sure to go HERE if you would like to see the unique ways I have been using Dollar Tree sticky tiles lately, too!

The blue/white peel & stick tiles look so much like the century old tiles in Portugal. I’m inspired to make some table coasters 🙂 and wall art.
