If you caught our first virtual home tour in Mayfield with our friend, Sherrie, you will know that we had the BEST time getting some BEAUTIFUL decorating inspiration to share with you. We loved it SO MUCH, that we decided to do it again with another friend, Brooke! She has been a friend of ours for many years and she is an absolute gem who works at a local bank and is VERY active in our community! She and her husband, Tyler, and son, Ty, have lived in their current home since about 2016 and, just like Sherrie’s house, it is sooooo cozy and welcoming and we think you are going to LOVE this one too!!!

The moment we walked through Brooke’s door, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated house with fall and halloween decor everywhere you look!! Combine that with the warm, cozy aroma of simmering potpourri on the stove and we instantly felt right at home!!!!
Can we just take a moment to talk about this simmer pot?? It filled the entire house with scents of fall—spices, citrus, and a hint of sweetness! Brooke used oranges, apples, cranberries, and rosemary to make her home smell like pure magic! Now we all lovvvvve some candles around here, but with this pot you truly got the scent of a candle while using all-natural ingredients! Bonus because it just looked so pretty setting on her stove!! You can grab her exact clear simmering pot here on Amazon!
Brooke will tell you that she has always loved black and white and uses it throughout her decor. This MacKenzie-Childs tea kettle was a gift from her dad, David, after seeing it and knowing how much she loved that color combo. He started a bit of an addiction and now he regularly finds additional pieces to add to her collection. You will see them in many of the pics!
You can see more of Brooke’s love for black and white in this cute vase that’s filled with fabric flowers! Her mom, Cindy, is a VERY crafty gal, and she actually MADE these, as well as the ADORABLE pumpkin and scarecrow dish towels!!
Brooke’s decor contains sooo many cute little vignettes! She loves to decorate for ALLLL the seasons, so these make it SUPER easy to change out accessories for a new look in no time!
We asked Brooke what was her favorite space in the house and she told us it was the living room. We can totally see why because we loved everything about this cozy space! You can see here how she uses the black and white to mix with classic neutrals and fun pops of color for a perfect blend!
We are literally OBSESSED with this white hobnail ceramic planter and so is Brooke! She actually has two of them in her decor! If you love hobnail decor, be sure to check out Kylie’s DIY hobnail vase!
Brooke’s favorite places to shop are local boutiques because she loves to find unique decor pieces. She looks for great deals on the basics like pillows and throws at Wal Mart and Amazon, then blends in all of her fun decor finds (like this amazing wreath with cork leaves!) to create a warm and welcoming space!
Brooke told us that she knows some people would consider buffalo plaid to be “out of style.” Her philosophy on decorating is that it really doesn’t matter if something is on-trend or not – if YOU love it, then use it!!!
Brooke loves the designs of MandyMade Designs and you can see that influence throughout her home! If you’ve followed Re-Fabbed for long at all, you know that we are also big fans of MandyMade!
Brooke was such a gracious hostess and we are stilllll swooning over her beautiful home! As a matter of fact, there was SO MUCH to see, that we will have part 2 of this home tour coming soon!!! You definitely DO NOT want to miss that because you will not only love her outside spaces, but you just HAVE TO MEET a VERY special member of their family!!!
Be sure to pin for later!!!
