If you’re like us, you LOVE new decor trends, but DO NOT love the prices that are often “out the roof!” We have compiled some of our very favorite projects that can have your house full of the latest trends, BUT at the fraction of the price! Click on any of the titles to see the full project!
pottery barn inspired snowflake sign
We found this planked wood snowflake art on Pottery Barn’s website a while ago for a whopping $173.99!! We created our own version for about 10 bucks, and we think it’s pretty darn close to the inspiration piece!!
dollar tree chinoiserie ornaments
Anywhere you look today, you will find the traditional blue and white chinoiserie pattern! It’s so beautiful and classic and fits in about any decor, but the pieces can be PRICEY!! For just a few dollars, we created some ornaments using NAPKINS and we really think they look high end!!
hobnail vase
Hobnail decor has become SUPER popular over the last year or two. We knew we could create a dupe that would would be high-style, without the high price. This vase turned out even cuter than we could have imagined!!
diy bauble mirror
The bauble decor trend became a HUGE hit over the last couple of years. Jenna at The Collected House created a DIY version of a round mirror and it is literally PERFECT and SOOOO budget-friendly!
moss-covered initial
This is definitely one of our favorite decor DIYs! You can find something similar at Pottery Barn for about $89.00, but we created this one for just a few bucks! We especially love that it can totally be customized for every season by changing out the ribbon!
pottery barn faris lamp dupe
Now we know it seems like we are picking on the Pottery Barn, but it’s only because we LOVE so much of its beautiful decor!! This rustic lamp starts at $299.00, but Martina at The Lived-In Look created the same look using some thrift store lamps and about $4.00 in craft store paint!! All we can say is WOW!!!
gingerbread house doormat
This doormat was inspired by a similar look we found on Anthropologie, but the price tag looks a lot better! We love the look!!
chinoiserie wall art
One of our team members had been eyeing these decorative prints at Pottery Barn and just couldn’t bring herself to pay the hefty price of around $379.00! She decided to DIY and managed to create her own version for about 30 BUCKS!!!
winter village wreath
This is another adorable diy that is inspired by the VERY popular Anthropologie Paper Village Wreath. You can find it on Anthropologie’s site today for about $118.00, but our version is just a fraction of the price by using supplies from Wal Mart and Dollar Tree!!
faux pottery
Pottery has always been classic decor and it remains that way even today. If you’ve priced pottery lately, you know that it is NOT cheap! This SUPER EASY DIY can give you the look of expensive pottery WITHOUT the expensive price tag!
We hope that you’ve found lots of decor inspo in these projects! Let us know if you try any of them or give us some of your own project inspiration!!
