We are in the Christmas season…the season of giving, and if you’re looking for an inexpensive little gift for your child to give classmates, I’ve got you covered! We’re going to take just a few dollar store finds and put together a cute and USEFUL gift. Who doesn’t need an extra pair of gloves?
I saw some precious fluffy gloves at the Dollar Tree, and it got me thinking about what I could fill them with to create a fun gift….
I started with the following items:
Child gloves – the fuzzy pink gloves are from Dollar Tree and the 3-pair set came from Walmart
Pencils
Sticker sheets
Markers
Candy canes
Hot chocolate
Assorted ribbon
Scissors
Now, you know the Dollar Tree is always full of festive stuff, and it did not disappoint this trip! I found these cute little peppermint spoons, and I knew they would be perfect with a cup of hot chocolate in one of my glove sets!
The first thing I did to start this process was nest one glove inside the other!
I simply put both gloves on one hand and slid them off of my hand carefully. Now you essentially have two pockets to work with…the inside glove and the outside glove.
I cut a few stickers from the sticker sheet so I could place them inside. One sticker sheet will be enough for about 6-7 gifts.
For this first glove, I decided to use school supplies. I placed a pencil, scent marker, stickers and a candy cane inside the pockets of the glove, staggering them just a little. I had some scented markers on hand, but you could add any marker or even a highlighter.
Then, I wrapped some ribbon around the gloves and curled the ends with my scissors. You could also use raffia, which you KNOW if my fave!
How cute is that? Sooo easy!
For the next glove, I decided to include a pack of hot chocolate, peppermint spoon and a few stickers.
The peppermint spoons have a cutting guide on the back to guide you while separating.
Tip: Use small scissors if possible for separating the spoons. I first used large scissors, and it was difficult to cut without puncturing the foil.
This was a super simple little gift to throw together in no time flat! Each little set averaged around $1.50 – $1.75 each. These would be perfect for a teacher to give students as well! Gifts do not have to be expensive to bring joy and let someone know you’re thinking about them!
I hope you enjoyed this fun little gift idea for those precious kiddos in your life! Perfect for so many occasions!
