Not long ago, while perusing the aisles of Hobby Lobby (aka Heaven on Earth), I came across a piece of scrapbook paper that stopped me in my tracks. It sounds SO dramatic, but I am serious! I LOVED IT, and although I had no idea what in the world I would do with it, I bought it.
Here is why it meant so much to me. First, it was just soooo super cute. I loved the colors and all of the fun design! It would be perfect somewhere in my office when I build my house. Second, I love my Re-Fabbed followers! (from everywhere, not just the U.S…) Third, I have a large Chalk Couture team full of awesome people from across the USA. This piece of paper just represents so much to me!
Well, let’s fast forward a few weeks. I was shopping at Pear Tree Mall (a local booth mall place that is my absolute FAVE place to shop locally!), and I found the most awesome picture…
The thing that was so awesome about this outdated picture was its price tag (around $4) and the fact that it was the PERFECT size for my scrapbook paper, without having to cut it down at all!
Here is what I used for this project:
1 pc of super cute scrapbook paper
1 frame (torn down to the bare frame and glass)
gold spray paint
Here is what I started with!
I had to take the back off and tear the inside out so that it was just the glass and frame.
I then removed the glass so that I could spray paint the frame a beautiful gold that I already had on hand!
I did a couple of coats, let it dry completely, put the glass and the paper in and BAM….we are DONE! Such an easy and quick project that packs a big punch!
I wish I could show it all staged in my super cute office that I will have, but that is a ways off, so I just snapped some pics in my current home backdrop so you can see how cute it turned out! I will certainly update with more pics once it is in its forever home!
What do you think??? ADORABLE or what?? I plan to use so many fun elements in my office! Remember by hot pink chair I shared on FB??? I can’t wait to pull it all together!

Great minds think alike! I had done this project some time ago. I love this paper. I paired mine with a square of cork board from HL and used cute rounded push pins to mark the states we鈥檝e been to.
