If you know me AT ALL, you know that I am allllll about some scrap wood. You wouldn’t have to follow me long to see a project done with scrap wood!
With us building a home, I have scrap wood out the bahooka…and I have made some fun projects already, with even more out back to use when the time is right.
Well, the piece I am using today is a piece that I had been hoarding for some time now…for the perfect project. It is just some old pallet wood that had been broken off, and to me…it was pure perfection.
Am I weird that when I saw this piece of wood, I saw a perfect project? The wood had been aged perfectly, and I loved the rawness and imperfection…
I found these hooks (I actually bought 2 sets, but I only used 1 set for this project) at Burkes Outlet for just $5.99—and the heavens opened when I saw them!!!
Y’all! IT WAS MY COLOR…and it was all distressed and looking like pure perfection in that box.
I grabbed them up, and they sat in storage.
When cleaning the shop yesterday, I saw the pallet wood…and I remembered the hooks.
BOOM. I had my plan! I had been NEEDING something to hang my extra necklaces on…..and here it was!
Now listen, I am not trying to re-invent the wheel or WOW y’all with some project that you have never seen. What I like to do is help you think of things in a different way…and help you see the potential in the things you already have!
So, here is what I did….brace yourself.
I simply took my hooks and hot glued them (with very strong glue) to the board and BAM.
I just needed a little something to hold some of my longer necklaces, so this was PERFECT. The glue is perfect. The hooks are perfect. $5.99 and I have the perfect little jewelry holder!
What do y’all think? SUPER EASY. Nothing fancy…but so so cute and perfect!

This is by far my favorite project since my friend turned me on to your site just a few weeks ago. I, of course, love all the fun fall projects. But this one is going to happen very soon in my house! Thanks for the inspo!

I just got my pallet boards out today and sanded them a little bit. I am going to hang them tomorrow in my closet.
