I love initials. I may have upwards of a dozen letter R’s hanging out around my house…but they are all totally different. That’s what I love about it! The one I want to show you today is one that I made for Christmas, but is EASILY changed up for any time of the year.
Right now, I am using it in my kitchen on the door that leads into our laundry room. {That is NOT an area that I have ventured into “fixing up” yet! Maybe one day…} It stays shut a lot so that people can’t see the madness going on, and it seemed so bland. This cute little R did the trick!
Supplies needed:
Large {or any size} letter of your choice~ Mine came from Hobby Lobby and is the larger wooden letters that they have. I got on sale for 50% off.
Bag of Spanish Moss
Tacky glue
Ribbon of your choice
Bow {if desired}
After you section your letter off with glue, start attaching the moss! {You had to have that step written out, right??}
When it is fully covered, you are done!
This is what it looked like before I trimmed up some of the fly-aways.
I just kind of trimmed it up a bit so it wasn’t AS crazy, but I didn’t do too much.
Here is it after I hung the ribbon and my very simple burlap bow. {Disclosure…I am not a fancy bow maker. This is as good as it gets!}
And I debated on showing this picture because of the shape of the refrigerator, but it is real life up in here, and I love to have all of the pictures that my kids make me hanging in all of their glory. So there you go, you get the messy shot.
Hope you enjoyed it! Is it something you would try to make for your home?
