embroidery hoop bunny
Let's HOP right in to Spring crafting with this ADORABLE little bunny canvas sign!!! 😉 But seriously, whether you prefer to decorate with neutrals OR you love adding that pop of color... this is the perfect Spring craft for you!
Materials
- embroidery hoop
- burlap (cream color AND dark color)
- hot glue
- scissors
- canvas
- stain (or brown paint)
- cotton (or anything for the tail)
- ribbon of your choice
Instructions
Go ahead and start by "staining" your canvas. I wanted it to look distressed, so I made some spots darker than others to give it that illusion! 
Then, blend it out... like this! 
I used the Kilz Dark Wax to do this... it is my absolute FAVE! 
Take your embroidery hoop, and fit a piece of the lighter colored burlap into it. This is going to be the bunny's body! 
Make sure you cut the pieces of burlap to fit! 
Now, this is kind of hard to explain... so bare with me! With the remaining part of the burlap that is hanging out, rub it roughly with your hands. This will give it that "frayed" look!
Let's move on to the ears! I just roughly cut out two bunny ear shapes from my lighter piece of burlap.
... now do the same thing with your darker burlap, but make them a little smaller! This is what the inside of the ears will be. Then, hot glue the inside pieces onto the ears! 
I went ahead and hot glued the ears to the canvas first, because I wanted them to be slightly underneath the body.
Next, hot glue the body onto the canvas! If you're interested, this is the hot glue gun I've been using and LOVING!
For the tail, I used this little cotton pod from Dollar Tree, and hot glued it to the bottom!
Make you a re-fabbed bow... then you're DONE! Alright y'all, what do you think of this precious little bunny sign?!?!? I am loving it!!!! You could totally display this in a built in, on a coffee bar... anywhere!
