Whether you love it or not, bows are trending BIG time this year. One good thing about it…I have always loved bows, so I am finally in style! LOL.
Last year, after Christmas, I found some large velvet bow garlands at Dillards on clearance. They were Martha Stewart Southern Living (I WISH I got a picture of the package for you), and it was a full garland. I didn’t know what I would do with it, but I knew I could do something, so I grabbed 4 packs LOL.
(p.s. This is the only shot of the entry way during the DAY.)
This year has been quite the whirlwind, and once we ended up moving back to our original home in Mayfield…I was quite exhausted, to be honest. We had moved 3 times in 6 months and had taken every item out of this house because we were under contract…but they backed out and we ended up deciding that was God telling us to stay here, so we moved back in. You can READ THE FULL BLOG ABOUT THAT HERE.
I tell you all that to say that this year, I went with a much simpler approach in my entry way…and I am HERE for it! I love it.
You can see all of my different entry ways through the years by going right here on the blog!
You can see a little glimpse of the living room mantel here, but I will share that blog soon so you can see it and the tree. It looks just beautiful!
I knew I wanted something on the stairwell, but I didn’t want to mess with greenery this year. It is gorgeous, but it is alot of work…and I didn’t have it in me this year! It was when I was trying to think of what I could do that would be simple that I remembered my bow garlands!!! I ran and grabbed one and immediately knew what to do.
I took each bow and cut it from the garland, and lucky for me, the rope went through the back of each bow, so I could easily just tie it on my stairwell! YAY!
It turned out BEAUTIFULLY! I am obsessed.
