Irma’s home is an open-concept design, with the living, kitchen, dining, and entertaining areas all in one space. It is so open, but still cozy! The dining area overlooks the front porch and is a beautiful view of the front yard.
We loved how Irma used accent greenery with the classic red in all of her spaces. Hers is the realistic style greenery that is super-popular right now and it is absolutely stunning in her home!
If you haven’t been in the Christmas spirit, you probably are now! Irma has amazing attention to detail and it shows in every area of her home!
An evergreen wreath is a super-simple way to dress up a dining chair or barstool!
We loved the natural stone elements brought to the interior of the house!
Is it even Christmas if you don’t have a red berry wreath? Don’t you just love it against the black backdrop?!?!
This cabinet is HUGE and would be perfect for TONS of kitchen storage…
EXCEPT IT’S NOT A CABINET!!!!! It’s a doorway to the master suite section of their home!!! When she pulled those doors open, we about PASSED OUT!!! This is one of the coolest design elements we’ve ever seen!!!!
Is Irma not just the CUTEST (and sneakiest!!) gal you’ve ever seen?!?!? She was a wonderful hostess!
Even the pantry was just so neat and just perfect!
This built-in is not only gorgeous, but functional, as it is right inside the door from the garage.
Irma’s attention to detail continues in the master bedroom, which overlooks the back patio. You can see that her use of black and white extends throughout her home. It’s so clean and classic! If you love black and white in your decor, you will also love Brooke Wiles’ home tour!
We are pretty sure our very favorite part of this house (besides that super cool ‘secret door’ in the kitchen!) had to be her grandson’s room! In typical grandmother form, Irma is absolutely crazy about her sweet grandson, Setter, and she has his room Christmas-ready too!!!
This rocking horse was handmade by Setter’s great-grandfather!
Y’all!!!! Is this not ADORABLE?!?! Just some paint, a blank canvas, and two little feet would make such a simple and meaningful gift for a grandparent!
A cozy guest bedroom and bathroom round out the tour and are ready to welcome friends and family!
Are you inspired by this cozy modern farmhouse decor like we are?? We had the best time meeting Irma and touring her beautiful home! Let us know what you think and if you have any suggestions for future home tours in the West Kentucky area! We’d love to hear them!!!
Don’t forget to pin for later!!!
