a quick home office makeover for a small space

With some shifting responsibilities at Re-Fabbed, Mel needed to be able to work more from her home office. Since she was living in her in-laws’ upstairs while they were building a house (that’s a whole OTHER story!!!), to say that her space was limited, is a major understatement! With just a few inexpensive pieces, she was able to transform her tiny office space from DRAB to FAB!!!!

The only place she was even able to find any office space was in this tiny corner of the bonus room next to the knee wall! Her office decor consisted of a small folding table and a lamp she pulled out of her mother-in-law’s pile for a yard sale!! With zero color and personality, y’all know that is definitely not somewhere I could work!!

She first ordered this super cute marble-look desk with gold legs. I even have this same style in MY home office as bookshelves and I love it! How stinkin’ cute is this?!?!

After getting that desk assembled (super easy!!), she decided to order another smaller one in the same style to make an “L” shaped work area. An “L” shaped desk this big would have cost SO MUCH more!!!

Since we use Zoom several times a week for meetings, this ring light that clamped onto the desk was a perfect choice!

She then added a few accessories like a cute lamp, adorable folders, some greenery, and of course a family photo to finish it off and this space became SOO much more updated but still super-functional!
