We are NOT kidding when we tell you that these virtual home tours of some of our local friends, have become our VERY FAVORITE blog posts!! We have literally fallen in love with every single home and our hostesses have been THE BEST!
(Click HERE for our last home tour of Irma’s modern farmhouse – y’all, she has the coolest SECRET door that you have to see!!!!!)
We are excited to bring you our latest tour of a relatively new construction with an “old” feel. We think you’re gonna love it too!! Let’s goooo!
Like our other home tours, it is obvious from the moment you pull into the driveway that the home of Jed and Chrissie Clark is one that has had much planning and thought into EVERY detail.
The neutral painted brick on the colonial-style home makes a gorgeous backdrop for the green window wreaths and red ribbon!
Walking in the front door is really like sensory overload! The garland and blue velvet ribbon on the entryway staircase was a welcoming sight!
Chrissie uses a base of artificial greenery, and then cuts fresh greenery and berries to add in and give it the overall look of fresh greenery, but WITHOUT the mess. She picked up the citrus garland at an after-Christmas sale (like she does MOST of her decor!).
From the entryway, you can then make your way into the dining room, which has a beautifully decorated tree and is filled with a perfect mixture of new and old pieces, which is Chrissie’s signature style.
Deer in Christmas decor is especially popular this year and we thought these majestic guys on the dining room table made a BIG statement!
You’ll find a lot of nutcrackers in Chrissie’s Christmas decor and we thought this little army of them was SUPER cute on top of this antique chest.
From the dining room, you enter the kitchen, which is truly spectacular! There were tons of storage cabinets as well as some display cabinets for her collection of blue and white dishes. Brooke’s favorite part was the tile backsplash!
This sitting area in the kitchen with comfy blue chairs and an ottoman is a cozy spot for hanging out while mom is in the kitchen!
Lots of Christmas vignettes, EVERYWHERE you look!
This whimsical punchbowl definitely caught Brooke’s eye! It was a gift to Chrissie from her husband when they first began dating!
There’s hardly a nook or cranny that doesn’t have a cute table and decor! Chrissie likes to keep most of her regular decor and then just sprinkle in seasonal accents.
The kitchen opens up into the two-story family room that is cozy and functional for her busy family.
Chrissie told us that one of her favorite features of the house was the wainscoting in the family room. She found a photo for inspiration and her designer worked hard to help her get the exact look she was wanting!
Chrissie told us that she ALWAYS tries to put less decor on this tree, but then she gets started and the more she adds, the more it needs! Can you relate?!?!
How cute is this little Santa peeking out from the branches??
As you’ve seen in so much of Chrissie’s decor, she loves to blend old and new, like these stockings that have a vintage look! They hold a very special place in her heart and her decor because the counted cross stitch fronts were actually hand-stitched by her mother-in-law a few years ago!
The exposed balcony from upstairs provides a perfect for spot for greenery and ribbon! We liked how she didn’t use the exact same greenery in every room, but prefers variation for interest!
We fell in love with this large cabinet! Chrissie uses the bottom to store games and other things they use regularly.
Y’all know how much we love a cone tree (HERE is one we created with scrapbook paper!) and these are so bright and cheerful! This would be a really cool DIY, using the colors you love!!
The built-ins are styled perfectly with seasonal decor, antiques, and other trinkets. You may remember seeing Brooke’s cozy Christmas built-ins in THIS post!
Just off the family room is a hallway leading to the master bedroom, a sitting room, office, and guest bath.
The navy and gold paper in the guest bathroom is beautiful! This vanity was made from a piece of furniture that was adapted to add the sink and plumbing.
We hope you loved this peek into our latest home tour! There is still A LOT more to show you in Chrissie’s beautiful home, so make sure you watch for part two which is COMING SOON!!! Let us know if you are loving these home tours and what you like to see!
BE SURE TO PIN FOR LATER!!
