Welcome y’all! Today is a fun day for me! I was asked to be a part of the Hello Spring Home Tour this year, which is being hosted by the lovely Carrie of Lovely Etc, and I immediately said yes. I love touring people’s homes, both online and in real life. The variance in styles and the abundant amount of inspiration make my heart pitter patter! To get to share my own home alongside the other amazing bloggers in this tour is pretty incredible. With this being the last day of the tour, you can view every one of these links at the end of the post and see all the tours. I have viewed every single one, and let me tell you–You will NOT be disappointed. There is a style for everyone!
If you were coming to visit me, you would first step onto my front porch, where you are greeted with a very cheery and bright “wreath” that I made this year, along with lots of other fun things I have found along the way! I always hope that my porch gives the feeling of happiness, because that is what I want my home as a whole to emit- a feeling of happiness. Now, don’t get me wrong- on the average day there is mass chaos and toys everywhere, juice stuck on the floor, cereal stuck in nooks and crannies, and the list could go on- but there is definitely happiness!
Well, come on in and make yourself at home! I won’t do a lot of talking, because let’s face it- you are here for the pictures!
You will come on into the living room, which is a pretty neutral space that I enjoy changing up constantly. You will see it this way today, but next week it may be different. That is what I love about gray. Also, beware of the “old man” chair, as I like to call it. I have finally gotten permission that in my next home, it is OUT. You just can’t make that thing pretty! I am also hoping to get new couches soon, but one thing at a time!
Here is my Spring Mantle. I love my little DIY sign, as well as the gumball machine with washi tape eggs. To me, this little area is just fun!
Standing from the fireplace, you can see the other side of the room, our blank canvas of a stairwell. {And I swear these floors are clean. People told me to not get dark floors, but I would NOT listen. Learned my lesson! You don’t have a 2 and 4 year old and have dark floors. End of story.} I have an idea for the stairwell, but it will take a lot of time, and to be honest, I know we won’t be in this house much longer, so there are a lot of projects that are just not going to happen in this home!
And here is my gallery wall that I just finished a week or so ago. I had pretty much all of these items around the house. Nothing like shopping your own home!
Can you spot the old man chair? Yeah, hard to miss it. Bless it. And I added my DIY pom poms by the time I took this picture. I told you, things change in a minute around here.
So, as you can see, our kitchen is the next stop…and it is not neutral at all! It is “gentle wave”…and it makes me smile. It is truly “springy” all year round.
Who ever said you have to have wall space to hang a picture. I mean, when you find something you love- you make it work!
Yes, I painted this flower. I am not a painter, but I felt slightly proud of this one. Enough to showcase it anyway.
These paper flowers from Michael’s are my FAVE!
My kids eat the fire out of some cuties, so why not add some extra color by displaying them in a little candy dish?
March flowers are in bloom everywhere. My little girl thinks it is the coolest thing that we can stop and pick them. They were the perfect addition to my grandmother’s milk pitcher that she gave me a few years ago. Shortly after giving me this, her house burnt to the ground and she lost literally every item. I am thankful to have this.
These plates…ahhh…in love.
Let’s venture into the dining room, where my love for change happens daily. {I mean, with those built ins, who could leave them the same constantly? NOT this gal.} I am content for now though, so I may leave them this way for a minute.
This white painted piece holds something unexpected. It is one of my favorite finds. I just recently moved it into the kitchen. Fits perfectly.
I love these apothecary jars, and the addition of the moss balls added the perfect touch.
This is my other gumball machine, and it is my favorite. I love to decorate with it for the seasons. I had just enough moss balls left to fill it, and I love it.
I love to display my children’s art when I can. This is such a cute painting from when my daughter was 3.
Well, I hate to see you leave, but I have really enjoyed having you by today! I hope you are leaving with a little bit of inspiration for Spring, or maybe even just to add a pop or two of color to your space!
Don’t forget that there are LOTS more bloggers sharing their home tours with you right below. You won’t want to miss them!
